Dealing with Contentment
The habit of acting on the part of some immensely profound message. But not every act you make needs to carry such gravity anymore than we can expect every moment we live to. It’s as if we become addicted to living in a permanent state of epiphany which can just as easily serve to numb to the normal or mundane aspects of life that are just flat out unavoidable. And real. Permanent happiness, bliss, and an ever present state of enlightenment is simply unsustainable. So then perhaps the next step is to get comfortable with mere contentment, with a casual walk through the woods, with relaxing on the couch with nothing on, no tv, no podcasts, just the sun shining in the window and on the floor and staring at the ceiling with the contentment of a cat just lazing about. There is no future, no past, just here with the liquid flow of time easing away the day.
