Chicken Dinner

“Lord, thank you for providing Enzo for our dinner tonight.”
“That's Philip,” said his wife.
“Philip,” he said. “Thank you for Philip the rooster.”
The children sat looking at their father horrified.
“Amen,” he said and began cutting away slices of meat and serving it.
They ate mostly in silence.
There were still three chickens left.
They would not keep chickens again for any reason.
